I’ve discovered every bicycle part has potential when presented to a creative mind. When I acquired a Schwinn missing everything from the rear wheel, to the front fork, and even the seat; there wasn’t much to work with.
The sprocket and accompanying chain guard though, are the heart of a bicycle. By mounting one vertically to a custom tapered steel base it’s become a stylish table lamp.
